Surgery Update #1

They let Juliette and I back in to see her off for surgery and we spent a half hour or so with her as they finished up final details.  We met some of the nursing staff and the anesthesiologist, who were great.  It would be difficult to overstate how highly the staff on Sugarbaker's team regard him.  They have all worked together for a long time and speak of him in fairly reverential tones.  All of us are left with an abiding sense that God has put us in the right place and that Jennifer is in very capable hands.

These pictures are just gorgeous, and I trust that God is going to do great things through the reverend Dr. Sugarbaker. The Lord has started a good work in Jen and WILL BE FAITHFUL to complete it!! We are praying at Bel Air Presbyterian!!

  4. What a wonderful gift to us all to create this blog! It lets us keep up without being the umpteenth caller. The pictures remind us of what a beautiful life you have together notwithstanding the challenges of late. You were at the forefront of our prayers at Emmanuel this past Sunday and we continue to lift you with up to the Father. God's best to you both.

  5. Skipping? WOW, I want to be like Jennifer when I grow up! You are "perfect and complete", my dear sweet cousin, as James describes in 1:2-4 because you count it all joy, skipping unto the Lord! JOY! The world can't give it, and the world can't take it away! May our great God and Savior continue to pour out His Spirit to you and your precious family during this time. We love you!

  19. Hi Guys,
I just talked to Emily and, of course, she has everything totally under control. (I still made her promise that she would call me for ANYTHING that they needed!)

I am thinking about you all 24-7, and I know that you will KICK THIS THING'S BUTT!!! just like you have done before. We are all praying for you and just in case you need to be reminded how strong you are and how much you are loved, let me remind you......

YOU ARE STRONGER THAN ALL OF US AND WE ALL LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know you will be reading all your e-mails and laughing with us all very soon.

    XOXO
